Colo-Majic is proud to support the Uncover Ostomy awareness campaign. 
Uncover Ostomy is an ostomy awareness and education project developed by the Intestinal Disease Education and Awareness Society and Jessica Grossman, with support from the United Ostomy Associations of America.
“When we first discovered what Jessica was doing through the Uncover Ostomy campaign, we knew we needed to find a way to support her,” said Doug Wolrich, inventor of the Colo-Majic Liners®. “Her vision to raise awareness of ostomy and help patients discover confidence in their lives is very similar to what we try to do at Colo-Majic.”
Jessica Grossman is a young university-aged woman currently studying to become a media professional. Her campaign to raise the public profile of ostomy surgery has been an enormous success for the past two years. A survivor of Crohn’s Disease, which attacked her intestines when she was just 9 years old, Jessica has lived happily, with confidence, with an ileostomy since she was 13. An actor, model and ostomy advocate, Jessica is determined to positively change the conversation about ostomy. She writes frequently on her blog.
The Intestinal Disease Education and Awareness Society, or IDEAS for short, conducts education and awareness campaigns aimed at eliminating the social stigma of chronic diseases like Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome as well as the ostomy surgeries that people suffering from these terrible illnesses often face. IDEAS is a Vancouver, Canada based not-for-profit organization.
The United Ostomy Associations of America, or UOAA, is an association of affiliated, nonprofit, support groups who are committed to improving the quality of life of people who have, or will have, an intestinal or urinary diversionary surgery.
